My passion for typography and history of printing dates back from the acquisition of Graphic design + designers published by Thames & Hudson in an English-speaking bookstore of Damascus in Syria in 1994. Since this period, I’ve continuously completed my collection of books on the subject and have become a regular visitor of libraries to look for new information.
This compiled knowledge have been at the origins of my first websites on typography: Typographie & Civilisation dedicated to the history of printing and XIXth and XXth century typography and Planète typographie (Planet typography in English) which was a portal dedicated to type design.
Heraldry is a more recent passion driven by the unique combination of beautiful design and historical meaning. And allows to investigate some side topics such as theory of colors, symbolism or medieval history. Today most of my sites dedicated to heraldry are consolidated around Blason & Heraldique.net.
Nota: due to lack of time these 10 last years, most of these sites have not been updated; which is a pity as in the years 2000, they were at the top position on Google results. But I'm still continuing to compile elements on these topics. For future updates...
